Instruments are great! They fill the world with music. There are so many different and exciting instruments in the world. Did you know that the oldest instrument in the world is the 50,000 year old Neanderthal Flute found in a cave in Slovenia in 1995. Instruments have been an important part of human history. We can put instruments into five groups or ‘families’. Commonly recognized families of instruments include: brass, strings, woodwind, percussion and keyboard. Curious fact :a piano could almost be compared to a human body as it requires numerous parts to be working in perfect unison to create the sound it is so famous for. It has 7500 working parts to be precise. If even one of those parts is not fully functional, the piano could go out of tune. What are some instruments you like?
